Anyone else had this?

I was really surprised when I was 'single-ized' after eleventy twelvty years and just who my real friends turned out to be. A lot of people I know professionally turned out to be angels, a few 'friends' turned out to be.... well, y'know.

Had a couple of offers of 'shoulders' and I generally try to avoid that self pitying off-loading, but it's interesting to note some who are not answering phones, emails, msns recently. I quite understand why they don't want owt to do with me, but why make the offer?

I'm more likely to say; "Fuck off and don't bother me until you're getting your end away again!" but faux concern is worse than not giving a flying fuck IMHO.

Most coupley type groups don't like singletons in thier little clique, pathetic but true. Most of my mates are married and i know the wives fucking hate them going out on the beer with me, they think i'm going to lead them astray which is laughable considering the amount of shagging some of them get upto on "golfing" weekends.

Have been pretty lucky really, and when was singalised didnt have that many friends to do that to me, and have leaned more on the professionals. Its situations like these when you realise who your mates are and who are not.
