Dont if you guys have seen that programme Demons ITV on Sat nights at 7pm? However im a bit pissed that its on so early. Alex (6) saw the adverts and was terrified and im sure other kids are too. In my opinion, this programme should have been shown after 9pm. Of course, we are not watching it but its prime time TV and i think they should be showing more appropriate things.

erm no...barb watched some programme the other day about killing an animal and then chopping it up and eating it....it was bloody barbaric.

But that's real life, happens all the time, part of life (and death). As for the Demons prog, I didn't see it but I think as evening progresses, you have to take some repsonsibility that more adult themes will be appearing and vet the programmes accordingly.

which of course i do, i just feel that this programme in not suitable for the time its showing and that seem to be getting very lax on watershed rules

Just had a quick look online about the show, looks to me like it's ITV's attempt to grab some of the Dr Who audience which has a very broad demographic appeal. Which means that whilst some bits may be scary to a 6 year old, they may just be exciting to a teenager and a bit funny to adults. The 7pm slot is ideal to appeal to all age groups, if that is what they are targetting, but not having seen the show, I can't really comment on inappropriate content.

The Daleks still scare the shit out of me and I've known more than one woman who thinks the Cybermen are kinky. Takes allsorts.......

Another thing that has kinda miffed me today was the medias coverage of the new american president. Obviously we all know he is black and the first african american to be voted in which is a very big thing for equality, diversity and racism. I was listening to the reports on the radio and they said that thousands filled the streets....so why oh why could they only find black american spectators who would praise him quoting he is the first black president? In my opinion, the medias coverage seemed to promote and focus on the race part and just seemed very biased. Maybe i was wrong, but thats how it seemed.

Especially since he's mixed race.....

This is nothing new! what about the good ol' bbc? whenever they are doing a news article on education they will send a correspondant out to a school in lewisham so the viewer is getting news on something that affects the whole of the uk education system whilst viewing footage of what could be a school in africa, ethnic minorities make up less than 10% of this country but according to the beeb and their cultural diversity policies they are 90% more worthy of tv footage than a class full of white kids somewhere outside of our wonderfully multicultural capital.

This is what happens when you stack the bbc full of lesbians, gays, and ethnic minorities and rule it with the iron fist of a government obsessed with racial diversity to the point that 90% of this country feel like strangers in it.

For the record i think obama is a breath of fresh air and truly inspirational, sadly the only reason you are seeing so many black americans out in the streets is because he's black which can only suggest they hav'nt bothered to vote or take part in the last 200 years because the candidate was................white? pretty racist really.
